On its first day of availability, Nintendo’s Super Mario Run has been downloaded by an estimated 3.5 million iOS users. Pokemon GO, on the other hand, experienced about 4.7 million downloads in the U.S. on Apple devices during its first 24 hours after its debut. Both mobile games had very strong launches in the country, according to business intelligence and analyst firm App Annie. Analysts say that their successes in the long run depends on several key factors, including plans to keep players engaged.
