Pokemon GO developer Niantic has kicked off a new in-game challenge focused on Buddy Pokemon. “Trainers, a new year means new goals,” explains Niantic on the official Pokemon GO blog. “We challenge you to choose a new Buddy Pokémon. As you explore your local community, visit PokéStops, and battle in Gyms, let us know how far you’ve walked with your buddy by sharing a screenshot on Twitter by January 31st using #PokemonGetUpAndGO.” Pokemon GO’s first year-end event wrapped up earlier this week.
