Out of all the role-playing games (RPGs) released throughout 2016, Pokemon Sun and Moon were the best-selling titles in the genre during December. According to the NPD Group, Pokemon Sun was the number-one RPG for the month – directly followed by Pokemon Moon at number two. These high placings don’t even take the digital sales of either game into account, which makes their ranks seem even more impressive. Pokemon Sun and Moon debuted in November and are available worldwide for the Nintendo 3DS family of systems.
