Pokémon Sun and Moon have achieved the highest launch month consumer spend in the history of the franchise. Combined sales of the latest duo of Pokémon games are the best for the franchise since Pokémon Diamond and Pearl in 2007, according to the NPD Group. Since their debut in November, Pokemon Sun and Moon have sold more than 4.5 million units worldwide, making them the fastest Nintendo game ever released to reach four million units sold.
