Pokémon GO Valentine’s Day event generates less than half the revenue of Halloween

Pokémon GO‘s first Valentine’s Day event was not as successful as the game’s popular Halloween event last year. During the recent in-game event, players spent $5.75 million on in-app purchases across the nine-day period, a 16 percent rise when compared to the previous nine days. Interestingly, Valentine’s Day itself proved to be the least lucrative day of the promotion. Despite being two days shorter, the Halloween event managed to bring in $13.35 million – a 47 percent increase over the previous week.
