Large percentage of Pokémon GO players identify as longtime Pokémon fans

A large percentage of Pokémon GO players consider themselves to be longtime Pokémon fans. New research has found that 77 percent of players aged 13 to 33 were fans of the franchise growing up. Pokémon GO recently reclaimed the top spot as the highest grossing game on iTunes. Earlier this week, it managed to win in the “Mobile Game of the Year” category at the 20th Annual D.I.C.E Awards.
