Japan Championships 2017 Battle Competition announced for Pokémon Sun and Moon

Details of the next Battle Competition have been announced for Pokémon Sun and Moon players in Japan. This is the special Japan Championships 2017 Battle Competition and runs standard VGC 2017 rules. This competition is used in order for players from Japan to qualify for this year’s Pokémon World Championships in Anaheim and runs differently compared to past competitions. Registration for Juniors and Seniors runs from March 30 to April 28, while registration for Masters runs from March 30 to April 15.

Battles for the Juniors runs from April 28 through May 1. However, Masters have access to five different schedules – April 15 to April 17, April 21 to April 23, April 26 to April 28, April 30 to May 2, and May 6 to May 8 – all starting and ending at 09:00 JST on the respective days. The rating from each participation in the five bands are then added up and the top 50 will be offered entry to a competition held in real life on June 18, 2017.
