Shiny Pokémon officially begin appearing in Pokémon GO

Following this week’s major update for Pokémon GO, Shiny Pokémon have officially begun appearing in the popular mobile game. There are only two of them currently available – Shiny Magikarp and Shiny Red Gyarados – but more will be added in the future. The first-ever Water Festival event kicked off yesterday, giving players a greater chance to find and catch Water-type Pokémon such as Squirtle, Totodile and Lapras.
