The Nintendo 3DS is officially six years old

The Nintendo 3DS launched on March 27, 2011, which means the handheld is now six years old. It boasts a massive library of high-quality exclusives, including Pokémon X and Y, Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire, and Sun and Moon. The device is officially the platform with the most playable Pokémon games, thanks to its backward compatibility with Nintendo DS games and the Virtual Console service. Although it has yet to be formally revealed, a successor to the 3DS line of systems is under consideration at Nintendo.
