The Pokémon Company has confirmed that an additional 7,651 Pokémon Sun and Moon players have been banned from online activity for having altered save data. This ban prevents the violators from using Game Sync, entering in Rating Battles and Battle Competitions, and participating in global missions. Upon trying, they will be met with an error message with the error code 090-0212. The Pokémon Company promises to continue pursuing people with edited and illegal save data and will enact similar restrictions without notice. This follows a similar announcement made earlier this year, when it was noted that 5,954 people were banned from Battle Spot.
