It looks like a new security measure has been implemented in Pokémon GO that allegedly hides rare spawns from players who use unauthorized methods to find and catch Pokémon. Those affected are calling this a “shadowban,” meaning that they can be in the same exact area as other players but will only be able to view common spawns, such as Rattata and Pidgey. Check out the image above to see how a flagged account’s Nearby screen compares to that of a non-flagged account.
