As part of its one-year anniversary celebrations, Pokémon GO will kick off its first-ever Fire and Ice-type Solstice Event on June 13. This in-game event will feature Fire-type and Ice-type Pokémon, huge XP bonuses for throwing Poké Balls accurately and discounted Lucky Eggs in the in-game shop. The Solstice Event will be followed by the recently-announced Pokémon GO Fest.
