The evolution of fainting in Pokémon from 1996 to 2016

When Pokémon lose all of their health points (HP) in the Pokémon video games, they faint and are no longer able to battle unless you revive them with special items or take them to the Pokémon Center. When all the Pokémon in your party faint, you pass out yourself as the Trainer in the game.
