Pokémon GO developer Niantic extends the first-ever Solstice Event by 24 hours

The first-ever Solstice Event in Pokémon GO has officially been extended by 24 hours. Niantic has confirmed that the latest in-game event will now end tomorrow, June 21, at 1 p.m. PDT. As part of the Solstice Celebration, hot Fire-type Pokémon such as Charmander, Typhlosion, Houndour and Charizard, as well as chilly Ice-type Pokémon such as Sneasel and Lapras are appearing more frequently until June 20. Plus, you can get massive XP boosts when you accomplish certain actions in your game. For example, catching a Pokémon with a Curveball throw will reward you 30 XP instead of the usual 10 XP. Finally, Lucky Eggs  are 50 percent off in the in-game shop all week long.
