Pokémon GO Team Instinct leader Spark replaced by Team Valor head Candela

Pokémon GO‘s most recent update implemented a bug that replaces Spark, the leader of Team Instinct, with Team Valor head Candela. Reports that Spark had disappeared from the game’s Appraisal tool first came on July 20, when the update first became available. That section is the main place where players can see the leader of their chosen team. Another recently-discovered glitch involves distorted Lugia.

So are we one in the same now or are we getting a new Team Instinct Gym Leader?

  Nope – a bug is causing Candela to appear instead of Spark, but expect this to be fixed in an upcoming update. Team Mystic leader Blanche is still functioning normally.
