The Pokémon Center has collaborated with another sports team to bring special merchandise to Pokémon fans. This year, the collaboration is between Hokkaido Nippon-Ham Fighters, a professional baseball team based in Sapporo, and The Pokémon Company. To portray the strength of the Hokkaido Nippon-Ham Fighters, Machamp has been brought in to appear as the de facto mascot for the Nippon-Ham Fighters Pokemon crossover merchandise.
