The annual Pikachu Outbreak event kicked off yesterday, August 9, in Yokohama with a slew of Pikachu taking to the sea and the sky. Even though these events are now held each year, some would say that the 2017 event looked less like an “outbreak” and more like an “invasion.” To see why this is the case, check out some of the photos in the embedded gallery below:
