The folks at Game Informer recently had an opportunity to visit Pokémon developer Game Freak‘s studio in Tokyo, Japan, where they got to learn more about Pokémon’s origins and the core games in the series. They also learned about why Pokémon Grey never came to be: “They did talk about why Pokémon Grey wasn’t a thing after Black and White,” explains Game Informer’s Kyle Hilliard. “[Junichi] Masuda said thematically, the game is about the opposition of good and evil, black and white, yin and yang, etc., and to have a Pokémon Grey would have been in opposition of that theme.”
