Taking place this weekend, August 18-20, the 2017 Pokémon World Championships is officially underway, bringing hundreds of the world’s best Pokémon Trading Card Game (TCG), video game and Pokkén Tournament players to compete in Anaheim, California, for the title of Pokémon World Champion. During the opening ceremony at 2017 Worlds, Game Freak’s Junichi Masuda appeared on stage to confirm that Kangaskhan and an increased number of Tauros are now appearing in Pokémon GO at this year’s Championships in Anaheim.
