The Pokémon Company and Nintendo have confirmed that the Pokémon video game franchise has managed to surpass 300 million units sold worldwide, spanning across 76 titles in total since officially launching in 1996. This massive figure includes download numbers and takes the recent success of Pokémon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon into account. The latest duo of Pokémon games launched exactly two week ago for the Nintendo 3DS family of systems.
