In the official Japanese commercial for the latest expansion as part of the Pokémon Trading Card Game (TCG), Pokémon TCG cards are somehow likened to smartphones. Pokémon TCG fans are shown using their Pokémon cards to take imaginary selfies, photos, listen to music and more. One person is even shown taking a card with them underwater in a waterproof case.
