It’s already been five years since the Pokémon With You train first started running in Japan. To celebrate the Pikachu-themed locomotive’s fifth anniversary, The Pokémon Company is hosting several special events for riders for a limited time. From now until March 31, 2018, fans can receive free Pokémon With You-inspired items, take photos with Pikachu mascots and more. To learn more about this initiative, click here. The Pokémon With You train was originally inaugurated to help lift spirits in some of the regions hit hardest by the 2011 Japanese earthquake and tsunami. The train departs from Ichinoseki Station in Iwate and ends at Kesennuma Station in Miyagi.
