The folks at IGN recently had an opportunity to interview Detective Pikachu director Naoki Miyashita and producer Hiroyuki Jinna. The main topic discussed was how the upcoming Nintendo 3DS game manages to turn your favorite Pokémon into a middle-aged man. They also had a chance to get up close and personal with the gigantic new Detective Pikachu amiibo, which can be tapped to see every Pika Prompt from a chosen chapter.
These Pika Prompts are short, bite-sized, voice-acted scenes featuring Detective Pikachu himself, and must be triggered by specific actions while in the game, so they can be missed during regular play.
