Pokémon GO developer Niantic teamed up with Playmob and local non-governmental organizations (NGOs) to host special cleanup events around the world on Earth Day yesterday, April 22. In-game rewards are now available for all players because more than 4,000 players participated by picking up trash on Earth Day. Rewards include 3× Stardust when catching Ground, Water and Grass-type Pokémon. This particular reward will last through April 30, 2018. There’s also a special Earth Day T-shirt now available in the game for all Pokémon GO Trainers to wear. In addition to this, Shiny Wailmer has officially been added to Pokémon GO and can now be found and caught in the wild.
