Pokémon GO Battle Showdown ends this Monday, May 14, last chance to earn 2× bonus Badge XP for Gym Battles and Raid Battles

The Pokémon GO Battle Showdown is currently underway until 1 p.m. (PDT) on May 14, so time is running out for you to participate in it! As part of this in-game event, Fighting-type Pokémon such as Mankey, Machop, Makuhita and Meditite are now appearing in the wild more frequently, and players can watch out for hard-to-find Tyrogue hatching from Eggs more often. You’ll also get double the XP for taking on Gyms and raids. When you interact with a Gym, you’ll get double the XP toward earning a Badge as you usually earn. When you spin the Photo Disc in a Gym, you’ll receive more items than usual.

Finally, when you’re successful in a raid, you’re guaranteed to receive a Rare Candy and whether you win or lose, you’ll earn 3,000 Stardust – six times the usual amount. In addition, Shiny Makuhita and Shiny Meditite are can now be found and caught in Pokémon GO. These two rare Pokémon evolve into Shiny Hariyama and Shiny Medicham, respectively. Niantic wants players to express their team pride, so be sure to let the developer know how you’re representing your Pokémon GO Team Leader via social media. As part of this initiative, Niantic has released standalone Battle Showdown artwork for Team Instinct leader Spark, as well as the Legendary Zapdos.
