Pokémon developer Game Freak has put up a job listing for a Test Automation Programmer (Software Engineer in Test) to work on a “consumer game development project.” This is a contract position and is scheduled to start in June 2018, with a negotiable option for applicants who can’t commit to this particular date. Many are speculating that this position has to do with the studio’s first console Pokémon role-playing game, which is in development for Nintendo Switch.
