Full stream schedule and details revealed for the 2018 Pokémon North America International Championships in Columbus, Ohio

Pokémon Clash Live in Columbus! Watch top Pokémon TCG and video game players battle live in the last International Championships of the season.

You can watch battles from every round of the 2018 North America International Championships in Columbus, OH, live on Twitch.tv. The Pokémon TCG and Pokémon Ultra Sun and Pokémon Ultra Moon matches begin at 6:30 a.m. PDT on Friday, July 6, and continue on Saturday and Sunday. Pokkén Tournament DXmatches begin at 9:30 a.m. PDT on Saturday, July 7. The final matches for all three game categories take place on Sunday, July 8. Check out the full stream schedule.

The main stream at Twitch.tv/Pokemon will alternate between Pokémon Trading Card Game and Video Game Championships matches throughout the weekend. Pokémon Ultra Sun and Pokémon Ultra Moon VGC matches will appear on Twitch.tv/PokemonVGC on Friday and Saturday, while Pokémon TCG matches will occur on Twitch.tv/PokemonTCG. The final matches for each tournament will be broadcast on Twitch.tv/Pokemon on Sunday. Pokkén Tournament DX matches will start early Saturday on Twitch.tv/PokkenTournament, and the final rounds will take place Sunday morning on the same stream.

The Pokémon TCG event will be the first International Championships to permit the Sun & Moon—Forbidden Light expansion. Decks pairing Malamar as a support card with Ultra Necrozma-GX or Necrozma-GX have been a revelation since the expansion’s release, but it’s an older deck that seems to be on top approaching Columbus. Competitors will have to be creative to overcome the boost that Buzzwole-GX and its Fighting-type compatriots gained from Sun & Moon—Forbidden Light’s Beast Energy Prism Star, Beast Ring, Buzzwole, and Diancie Prism Star. Format stalwarts like Greninja BREAK, Lapras-GX, and Zoroark-GX are also sure to make appearances.

Trainers in the Video Game Championships have found innovations in a variety of competing strategies approaching the summer’s big events. At first, it looked like teams featuring Mega Gengar would lead the pack entering North America Internationals, but teams built around Tapu Lele and Mega Metagross also surged in May. We even saw the return of defensive 2015-style teams featuring Mega Kangaskhan. The field is wide open, which will likely lead to some surprises—last year’s event was full of unexpected teams.

The North America International Championships will also be the third stop in the Pokkén Tournament Championship Series. Just a couple of weeks ago, at the Sheffield Regional Championships in the UK, competitors had their first shot at using the Battle Pack DLC characters Aegislash and Blastoise, and the Support Pokémon released alongside them. Players will have the chance to hone their strategies based on Sheffield’s results, so we’re sure to see exciting matches in Columbus.

Pokémon North America International Championships Streaming Information
