New Pokémon GO update now live on iOS and Android for brand-new Friends, Gifts, Trading Pokémon features and more

Pokémon GO is officially in the process of being updated to implement the recently-announced features on iOS and Android devices. Features include a brand-new Friends system, Gift mechanic, Trading options, bug fixes and more. The latest update also adds new Trade, Gift and Friend badges. In addition, it implements a new tab to notify users of certain Gym activities, such as Pokémon that are returning or need a Berry. Official patch notes from developer Niantic have yet to be revealed, but stay tuned for any updates.
