Niantic says avoid going to Lincoln Park if you don’t have a Pokémon GO Fest 2018 ticket

Pokémon GO Fest 2018 on July 14 and 15 is the second major event in Professor Willow’s Research Challenge, which is now underway in the Asia-Pacific region until July 15 at 23:59 JST. Trainers without a ticket to the event won’t be able to see any Pokémon or PokéStops in Lincoln Park, but Trapinch, Feebas and other Pokémon featured in the habitats of Pokémon GO Fest will appear more frequently all over the world during that weekend. The Cheering Pokémon, Plusle and Minun, are now appearing more frequently worldwide as Trainers complete themed Field Research tasks. Catching Plusle and Minun will result in bonus Stardust, and Trainers might even discover their Shiny versions. Alolan Diglett and Alolan Geodude have also begun appearing globally for the first time in Pokémon GO. If you don’t have a Pokémon GO Fest 2018 ticket, Niantic suggests that you avoid playing Pokémon GO in Lincoln Park this weekend:
