Pokémon GO Special Weekend continues and wraps up tomorrow, July 29, with Unown letters A, E and Bulbasaur at Aeon in Japan

Niantic recently kicked off a massive event featuring Unown, Pikachu, Bulbasaur, Charmander and Squirtle. The Pokémon GO Special Weekend is set to kick off later this month at various sponsor locations throughout Japan. Fans will be able to purchase a ticket at participating locations to be granted access to special PokéStops. In addition, from 10:00 to 20:00 JST on certain days, there will be increased spawns of a number of Pokémon and double XP for all participants. The increased spawns will be available throughout in Japan. A list of the available Pokémon, dates and locations is as follows:

  • July 27 – Unown T, Unown J and Squirtle at Toho Cinemas, Tully’s Coffee and Joyfull
  • July 28 – Unown M, Unown D and Pikachu at McDonald’s
  • July 29 – Unown A, Unown E and Bulbasaur at Aeon

Unown letters S, B and Charmander were initially scheduled to appear at SoftBank on July 26, but Niantic has since postponed this date due to the recent severe weather conditions in the area. The developer has unveiled two official promos for Pokémon GO Special Weekend, highlighting the different check-in options for the upcoming event. Niantic has sent out a notice to for its followers to be wary of hazardous weather in certain locations, including heavy rain, strong winds and extreme temperature.
