Niantic’s Pokémon GO partnership with TOHO Cinema ends on August 7 in Japan

In 2017, Niantic teamed up with TOHO for a special Pokémon GO promotion in Japan, where TOHO Cinemas featured sponsored PokéStops and Gyms available for players across the country. However, this particular partnership is officially coming to an end. The special PokéStops and Gyms at TOHO Cinemas will no longer be available as of August 7, 2018.
