Niantic is still implementing anti-cheating measures for Pokémon GO. The immensely-popular mobile game is now capable of scanning user directories on your Android device and trigger its tamper/root protection, even if you have never modified your smartphone before. It looks for directories that match names of root programs. For example, the game will not boot if you make a file directory named “Magisk.” To learn more about this, click here.
