Nintendo Switch Has Sold Over 5 Million Units In Japan

In wake of exclusives like Pokemon Let’s Go Eevee/Pikachu and Super Smash Bros Ultimate, the Nintendo Switch has surpassed 5 million units in its home country of Japan, according to Famitsu’s surveys. This number was reached in 18 months, with the hybrid having launched back on March 3rd 2017.

For comparison, the PlayStation has been out for almost 5 years and has sold just over 7 million units in Japan, showing just how successful the Switch has been in its home country.
