The first-ever Psychic Week/Psychic Spectacular event is now underway in Pokémon GO. It is taking place from October 5 at 1:00 p.m. PDT (GMT −7) to October 14, 2018, at 1:00 p.m. PDT (GMT −7). As part of this worldwide event, Psychic-type Pokémon are appearing in the wild more frequently, including Slowbro, Drowzee, Abra, Spoink, Ralts and Baltoy. Shiny Drowzee and Shiny Hypno have also made their Pokémon GO debuts. Additional Field Research focusing on Psychic-type Pokémon is now available as well. For some reason, Pokémon GO developer Niantic initially deleted its published post about the latest in-game event, but the original page is now up and running. In addition, although they’re not exactly Psychic types, Alolan Geodude and Alolan Diglett are now appearing the wild again. For a limited time, there’s also a brand-new hat-wearing Pikachu currently available in the wild. It is wearing a black cap with two lighting bolt icons front and center. If this special Pikachu evolves into Raichu, it will retain the lightning cap. This special Pikachu will disappear today, October 7, at 12 p.m. PT – so be sure to catch it while you still can. The same cap and a shirt with a similar design are now available as free wearable items for your avatar. They were developed by Japanese streetwear designer Hiroshi Fujiwara. The lightning shapes on the apparel are inspired by Pikachu’s iconic tail.
