Piranha Plant takes root! The iconic enemy from the Super Mario series is coming to Super Smash Bros. Ultimate for early purchasers. Purchase a digital or physical copy of the game by 1/31/19 to receive a free code for the Piranha Plant DLC in the game.

How can I get the free Piranha Plant DLC?

Complete the following steps to receive your free DLC code:

Use your Nintendo Account to purchase a digital copy or register a physical copy of Super Smash Bros. Ultimate from 11/1/18 – 1/31/19.
- In Latin America, physical copies of Super Smash Bros. Ultimate include an insert with the Piranha Plant code – additional registration is not required.
An e-mail with your free DLC code will arrive within 10 days.
- The code is e-mailed to the Nintendo Account that purchased the game. (For supervised Nintendo Accounts, the e-mail is sent to the parent / guardian’s e-mail address.)
Redeem your code in the Nintendo Switch eShop.
Your Piranha Plant DLC will be unlocked in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate when it becomes available in 2019 (exact date TBD).

I pre-ordered the game through a retailer or online store, am I still eligible for this promotion?

Yes. Just be sure to either redeem the download code via Nintendo eShop or register your physical copy of the game on My Nintendo before February 1st, 2019.

Do physical and digital purchases qualify?

Yes. You will qualify for the promotion as soon as you redeem your download code included in the the bundle.

When will I receive my code?

An e-mail with your free DLC code will arrive within 10 days from when you purchase or register your game.

Help! I didn’t get an e-mail with my code!

Make sure that you have registered the game with your Nintendo Account.
- For digital purchases, the game is registered to the Nintendo Account that made the purchase.
- For physical purchases, the game card must be manually registered to a Nintendo Account on the Nintendo Switch console.
Make sure that you are checking the correct e-mail address.
- The code will be e-mailed to the Nintendo Account that is associated with the physical or digital game purchase.
- If the purchase was registered to a Nintendo Account for a child, the e-mail will be sent to the parent / guardian’s e-mail address.
Make sure that you have waited long enough. It may take up to 10 days for your code to arrive from when you purchased or registered the game.
