Niantic lists steps to connect Pokémon GO to Pokémon Let’s Go Pikachu and Let’s Go Eevee

In its latest newsletter to Pokémon GO players, Niantic has sent the following message on how to connect Pokémon GO to Pokémon Let’s Go Pikachu and Let’s Go Eevee:

Connect Pokémon GO to Pokémon: Let’s Go, Pikachu! and Pokémon: Let’s Go, Eevee!

Have you already completed Professor Willow’s Special Research and caught the Mythical Pokémon Meltan? While you may have your very first Meltan, you can encounter even more by connecting to Pokémon: Let’s Go, Pikachu! and Pokémon: Let’s Go, Eevee! for the Nintendo Switch. Learn how to connect your Pokémon GO account to Pokémon: Let’s Go, Pikachu! or Pokémon: Let’s Go, Eevee! below.

Doing so will allow you to receive a special item — a Mystery Box — that will help you encounter more Meltan!

1．Make sure you have Pokémon: Let’s Go, Pikachu! or Pokémon: Let’s Go, Eevee! launched on your Switch console.
2. Connect your Pokémon GO account to your game via Bluetooth. Learn more here.
3. Send Pokémon you’ve caught in Pokémon GO to the GO Park complex in Fuchsia City (Note: You will need to progress through the story of Pokémon: Let’s Go, Pikachu! or Pokémon: Let’s Go, Eevee! in order to access the GO Park complex.)
4. After you have transferred your Pokémon to the GO Park complex, check your Bag in Pokémon GO for a Mystery Box!
5. Use the Mystery Box on the map screen in Pokémon GO.
6. Meltan will begin appearing in the wild, and you will be able to encounter and catch this Mythical Pokémon!
