What Pokemon fans can look forward to in 2019

2019 is shaping up to be an amazing year for Pokemon fans with lots to look forward to across multiple forms of entertainment.

In the movie department, we have two releasing in 2019: Mewtwo Strikes Back Evolution and Detective Pikachu.

Mewtwo Strikes Back Evolution will be the annual animated movie and this one is likely to provide a big sense of nostalgia if the title is anything to go by. This movie is likely to be the one that provides the more classic Pokemon style that we have been used to for the last 20+ years.

Then meanwhile, Detective Pikachu is likely to provide us a whole new take on the Pokemon universe, with the live action film showing us Pokemon in ways we have never seen them before. With the trailer receiving a great reception, there is now a lot of buzz and excitement for this movie and I personally can’t wait to see it.

Throughout 2019, we will also see new updates to Pokemon GO. With the game being as popular as ever, there is a massive fan base always hungry for new content and they are likely to receive lots of it in 2019.

There is also going to be the usual Pokemon tournaments in the coming year. Whilst nothing new, the video game and trading card game championships are always a blast to watch and something I am excited to see more of in 2019.

We also can’t forget the anime. Like the Pokemon tournaments, it’s nothing brand new. However, the Pokemon anime is still a large part of the Pokemon franchise and will be airing all throughout 2019.

Some other things to be excited for is new merchandise, new TCG sets and of course more posts on Pokemon Blog. All jokes aside, there is so much to look forward to and it looks like 2019 could be one of the best ever years for Pokemon fans.

So now that I have covered everything, it’s time to say goodbye and thanks for reading…

I’m only joking. Of course there is one last thing to talk about: Pokemon Generation 8.

Easily the biggest Pokemon related thing to come out in 2019, the generation 8 games are set to end the year off in a high. They will be the first traditional Pokemon games to ever release on a console and I could not be any more excited.

So for real now, thank you for reading this article and let’s all look forward to 2019. Goodbye!
