Niantic recently announced the first Field Research details for Pokémon GO players in January and February 2019. Starting now, when you reach a Research Breakthrough in either month you’ll have the chance to encounter several Legendary Pokémon, including Lugia and Ho-Oh. Articuno, Zapdos, Moltres, Raikou, Entei and Suicune are also being featured as Research Breakthrough rewards. All eight of these Legendary Pokémon are now available as potential Research Breakthrough encounters until the end of February. There was a major bug that prevented some of the aforementioned Legendaries from appearing as Research Breakthrough rewards; however, you can rest assured that Niantic has fixed the issue. Spinda Forms #5 and #8 are also now available during the latest Field Research.
