The Pokémon Company recently revealed that next year’s Pokémon anime movie – officially titled Pokémon the Movie: Mewtwo Strikes Back Evolution – will premiere in Japan on July 12, 2019. The film was initially announced via a brief teaser that was shown at the end of Pokémon the Movie: The Power of Us. The upcoming movie is being directed by Kunihiko Yuyama and Motonori Sakakibara, while the screenplay is by Takeshi Shudo. The original voice actor behind the English dub version of Ash Ketchum, the one and only Veronica Taylor, has expressed interest in voicing our ageless hero in the new film. While this change is unlikely, as avid fans of Taylor’s talent, we can only hope that this wish comes true!
