Nintendo has dispatched a brand-new system update for Nintendo Switch, which is now available for download worldwide. Official patch notes for update version 7.0.0 from the development team are as follows:
Nintendo constantly aims to improve the functionality of its systems and services in order to provide the easiest, most user-friendly experience possible. As a part of these efforts, we are making Nintendo Switch system updates available for download via the Internet.
Improvements Included in Version 7.0.0 (Distributed 01/28/2019)
- Select from six new New Super Mario Bros.™ U Deluxe icons for your user
- To edit your user icon, head to your My Page > Profile on the top left of the HOME menu
- Added additional language support to the HOME Menu for Chinese, Korean, and Taiwanese
- To change the language, head to the System Settings > System > Language
- General system stability improvements to enhance the user’s experience
In addition, update version 7.0.0 includes a firmware update for the Joy-Con controllers. There’s no word on what exactly this particular update does, but it is most likely pertaining to performance improvements.
