Niantic recently held a another Hoenn-themed event for Pokémon GO. From January 15 until January 29 at 1 p.m. PST, Pokémon originally discovered in the Hoenn region were appearing more frequently in the wild. Plus, if you evolved Shroomish into Breloom during the event, it learned the exclusive move Grass Knot. See more event details below:

- You had a chance of encountering Shiny Zigzagoon, Shiny Taillow and Shiny Groudon for the first time.
- As a part of the Hoenn celebration, you had the chance to find Shiny Zigzagoon and Shiny Taillow. In raid battles, you were even able to encounter Shiny Groudon and Shiny Kyogre.
- New avatar items inspired by Team Magma and Team Aqua—the original villains of the Hoenn region in Pokémon Ruby and Pokémon Sapphire—are available in the Style Shop.
Meanwhile, The Pokémon Company wanted to know if you’re wearing Team Aqua or Team Magma avatar items in Pokémon GO, and it turns out that most poll participants are fans of Team Aqua.
