How to receive a Mystery Gift in Pokémon Let’s Go Pikachu and Let’s Go Eevee

Read on below for instructions on using the Mystery Gift feature in Pokémon: Let’s Go, Pikachu! and Pokémon: Let’s Go, Eevee!:

Additional Information:

  • Mystery Gift is a feature in the game that allows players to redeem download codes, connect to a Poké Ball Plus to redeem Mew, or connect wirelessly to Nintendo-sponsored events to obtain special Pokémon or items.
  • The Mystery Gift feature becomes available after you have battled your Rival for the first time. Before then, the “Communicate” menu option will be grayed out.
  • The Poké Ball Plus option is available when using the Poké Ball Plus as your in-game controller.
  • Once you have received a gift, it will appear in your Pokémon Box.
  • For information about current or upcoming Mystery Gift distributions, please visit http://www.pokemon.com.

Complete These Steps:

  1. Launch Pokémon: Let’s Go, Pikachu! or Pokémon: Let’s Go, Eevee! from the Nintendo Switch HOME Menu.
  2. Press the X Button during gameplay to access the in-game menu.
  3. Select “Communicate.”
    • This option becomes available after you have battled your Rival for the first time.
  4. Select “Mystery Gifts.”
How do you want to receive the gift?

Internet (Nintendo Network Distribution)

  1. Select “Get Via Internet” and select “Yes” to continue.
  2. The game will search for any gifts that are currently available.
  3. Once you have received a gift, it will be in your Pokémon Box and you can add it to your party.
    • To change Pokémon in your party, press the X Button to open the in-game menu, then “Party.” Select “Open Pokémon Box” to see and manage the Pokémon you’ve collected.

Download Code / Password

  1. Select “Get With Code / Password” and select “Yes” twice to continue.
  2. Enter the code you received and tap “OK.”
  3. Once you have received a gift, it will be in your Pokémon Box and you can add it to your party.
    • To change Pokémon in your party, press the X Button to open the in-game menu, then “Party.” Select “Open Pokémon Box” to see and manage the Pokémon you’ve collected.

Poké Ball Plus Accessory

  1. Select “Get with a Poké Ball Plus.”
  2. You will see a message that says: “A Pokémon is in your Poké Ball Plus. It’s a present for you!” Select “Yes” twice to connect to the Internet and receive the Pokémon.
  3. Once you have received a gift, it will be in your Pokémon Box and you can add it to your party.
    • To change Pokémon in your party, press the X Button to open the in-game menu, then “Party.” Select “Open Pokémon Box” to see and manage the Pokémon you’ve collected.
