Niantic has announced plans for its Earth Day activities for 2019 in Pokémon GO. If enough participants take part in the event, Shiny Diglett and Shiny Dugtrio will make their Pokémon GO debuts. Read on below for more details from the development team:
Announcing Earth Day 2019!
We’re inviting all Trainers to participate and help battle important issues, such as ocean pollution, damaged ecosystems, and unhealthy environments. To join in, sign up here! If you’re a Trainer who wants to participate on your own or with a small group, you can register here. Trainers can expect to earn in-game rewards based on their participation from April 29 to May 2.
- If two thousand players attend and clean up, global rewards will be as follows:
- Ground-type Pokémon will appear more frequently in the wild.
- If five thousand players attend and clean up, global rewards will be as follows:
- Ground-type Pokémon will appear more frequently in the wild.
- You’ll have the chance to catch Shiny Diglett!
- If seven thousand players attend and clean up, global rewards will be as follows:
- Ground-type Pokémon will appear more frequently in the wild.
- You’ll have the chance to catch Shiny Diglett!
- You’ll receive 2× Catch Stardust and 2× Catch Candy for Pokémon appearing as part of this event.
- Groudon will appear in raids!
