This month’s Pokémon GO Community Day took place on Saturday, April 13, 2019, from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. in your local time zone in various territories across the globe, including the Asia-Pacific region, Europe, the Middle East, Africa, India, the Americas and Greenland. Participants had the opportunity to catch plenty of Bagon during the three-hour span, and if you evolved Shelgon (the evolved form of Bagon) into Salamence during the event or up to one hour after the event, your Salamence learned the special move Outrage, which it is normally unable to learn. This move was available only to Salamence evolved during Community Day.
Additionally, Lures lasted for three hours and Trainers earned three times the normal XP for catching Pokémon during the hours of the event. A new Community Day Box was made available to purchase with 30 Ultra Balls, three Super Incubators, one Lure Module and three Lucky Eggs for 480 PokéCoins. Shiny Bagon, Shiny Shelgon and Shiny Salamence have also made their Pokémon GO debuts. Due to major server issues, this Community Day received an extension for the GMT +8, +9 & +10 time zones. The Adventure Sync feature was also disabled due to these issues. However, initial progress was saved and picked up once the issues were taken care of.
