Game Informer confirms autosave feature in Pokémon Sword and Shield

During a packed Nintendo Direct video presentation last month, Nintendo provided new details about previously announced upcoming games, including Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield. The broadcast featured a first glimpse at what appeared to be an autosave feature. Autosave has since been confirmed by the folks at Game Informer. Although this addition is welcomed for the sake of automatically saving progress, a number of players are concerned that it will heavily impact their gameplay. For example, it might make Shiny hunting more difficult and resetting certain moments to attain desired results may no longer be possible.
