As another way to promote Pokémon Sword and Shield, The Pokémon Company was broadcasting live footage from Glimwood Tangle in the Galar region. During the stream, a number of Pokémon were shown off and therefore confirmed to appear in Pokémon Sword and Shield, including Morelull, Phantump, Impidimp, Shiinotic and a new Pokémon that with a pony/horse-like body that turned out to be Galarian Ponyta. There are two different forms of Galarian Ponyta, one of which lacks a tail. Because of all the excitement surrounding this new Pokémon, Galarian Ponyta has been trending on Twitter.
