The Ground-type Pokémon Trapinch is the star of October‘s Pokémon GO Community Day, and you’ll definitely want to catch as many of these Pokémon as you can during the event. This month’s Community Day event is happening on Saturday, October 12, 2019, from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. local time. Trapinch is appearing much more frequently in the wild during this time, and if you’re lucky, you might even find a Shiny Trapinch! Shiny Trapinch, Shiny Vibrava and Shiny Flygon have also made their Pokémon GO debuts.
If you evolve Vibrava (the Evolution of Trapinch) into Flygon during the event or up to two hours afterward, the Flygon will know Earth Power, a move it can’t normally learn. You may even receive 2 km Eggs that hatch into Trapinch if you spin PokéStops during Community Day hours. Plus, Lure Modules last for three hours, and you’ll earn three times the Catch XP for catching Pokémon during the event. Trapinch Community Day has been postponed in Japan due to super typhoon Hagibis. It is still taking place as scheduled in all other parts of the world.
