Pokémon Sword and Shield do not support save data backups on Nintendo Switch

The Pokémon Company and Nintendo are gearing up for the highly anticipated upcoming video games Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield, launching on November 15, 2019, exclusively for Nintendo Switch. The games are now available to pre-load via the Nintendo eShop in Japan and Korea, with more regions to follow soon. The eShop listings confirm that the games do not support the save data backup feature, but hopefully it’ll eventually be added.
