Nintendo NY hosts midnight launch event for Pokémon Sword and Shield

The wait is officially over for Pokémon Sword and Shield! The latest duo of Pokémon games are now available for purchase via the Australian/New Zealand, Japanese and European versions of Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Switch, with more regions to follow soon. Pokémon Sword and Shield allow you to choose from three new partner Pokémon and encounter never-before-seen Pokémon. Explore the Wild Area, a vast expanse of land where the player can freely control the camera. You can also team up with other players locally or online in the new multiplayer co-op Max Raid Battles.
