The Nintendo Switch family of systems recently managed to surpass 10 million units sold in Japan alone. This impressive figure was achieved primarily due to immensely-popular games, such as Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, Pokémon Let’s Go Pikachu and Let’s Go Eevee, and Pokémon Sword and Shield. The Switch has also managed to ooffiically outsell the PlayStation 3 in Japan:
- As of this week, Switch has sold 10.432.570 units in Japan
- As of 2016, PS3 had sold 10.248.867 units in Japan
- Next one to pass is the Wii, at 12.739.119 units
